In my exploration of candle holders within ecclesiastical settings, I sought to blend functionality with a new purpose — reimagining them as vases. Choosing a more geometric base not only enhances water capacity for floral arrangements but also imparts a grounded, utilitarian essence to the overall design. As I delved into the design process, my focus gravitated towards exploring proportion, with the goal of achieving visual harmony through the introduction of a softer, curvier vase form. The selection of ceramic as a material introduces an organic quality, infusing the final product with an earthy, tactile dimension.
